baby quilt para Santiago

Lo comencé a unir el sábado y hace dos días lo términé y creo que por eso me gustan los babyquilts, pues tienen el tamaño perfecto para hacerlos rápido y el quilting no es nada complicado además de que toda mamá los recibe con alegría! (y también creo que el four patch es ideal para cualquier baby quilt!) I started piecing last saturday and two days ago I finish it, and i think that is why i like babyquilts, because they have a perfect size to make them faster and the quilting is very easy to do and also every mom receives them with joy! (and I believe that the four patch is ideal for any baby quilt! )

y ese es nuestro pasto que cada día muestra más señas de recuperación! and that is our grass wich every day shows more signs of recovery!

Ella ya ha hecho de esta casa su hogar. Ya no hay separaciones, ya los cinco vivimos juntos. Cada día Gumaro y Lucio quieren olerla y estar cerca de ella, pero todavía la asustan y ella huye y luego ellos van tras de ella y ladran y ladran (y ladran de nuevo). Por momentos parece un caos y que la convivencia será algo difícil de lograr entre perros y gatos, pero cuando ya todos vamos a dormir (Gumaro y Lucio a un lado de nuestra cama), ella de pronto llega sin que nadie se dé cuenta y duerme con nosotros, en la misma habitación, y en silencio hay paz.

She has made this house her home already. There is no separations, and all we live together. Every day Lucio and Gumaro wants smell she and be near to her, but they still scares she and runs away, then they go after her and then, they are barking and barking (and barking again). En mi caso creo que eso gira en torno a mi comodidad. Es un poco difícil definirlo en una o algunas cuantas fotografías, sin embargo, creo que esta imagen logra exponer un poco ello: los jeans son completamente imprescindibles para mí. Los zapatos? mmm últimamente tienen qué ver con comodidad, al menos hasta donde se pueda (algunas veces uso zapatos altos en el trabajo). El resto depende de mi humor, de la actividad que tenga y del clima, por supuesto! Sin embargo no siempre visto con jeans, playeras y crocs. También me gustan las bufandas, los aretes pequeños, los anillos, las faldas de mezclilla y de pana, las camisas blancas, los vestidos y los zapatos de correa.

In my case I think that revolves around my comfort. Is a little difficult to define in one or some few pictures, however, I think this picture shows a little: the jeans are completely indispensable to me. The shoes? mmm lately it have to do with comfort, at least to where I can (sometimes I use high heels at work). The rest depends on my mood, the activity I'll do and weather, of course! But I don't wear jeans, tees and crocs every time. I also like scarves, small earrings, rings, denim skirts and corduroy, white shirts, dresses and mary jane's.

Rebekah tuvo la magnífica idea de hacer un reto en el que la idea básica es que cada quien use esos libros de manualidades que a veces compramos y nunca utilizamos y hacer algo de los proyectos que ahí se muestran... simple. Decidí unirme, ya veremos cómo me va.

Rebekah had the great idea of making a challenge in which the basic idea is that everyone use those craft books that sometimes we bought and never used and do some projects that are shown in there ... simple. I decided to join, we'll see how I go.

creo que es verdaderamente fácil disfrutar de pequeños placeres... pero a veces tardamos más en decidir hacer las cosas que lo que podríamos tardar haciéndolas... la otra noche hice un pastel volteado de arándanos... no es la primera vez que lo hago y sólo fueron 15 minutos de preparación... lo primero que pensé al probarlo fue: ¡porque me tardé tanto en hacerlo de nuevo!

I think is really easy enjoy small pleasures ... but sometimes it took longer to decide what things to do than the time we could take doing things... ...last night I made a cranberry upside down cake ... is not the first time I make it and takes just 15 minutes of preparation ... my first thought after taste it was: why I took so long do it again!

the mod pot quilt

Simplemente me encantó. Estoy pensando en hacer otro quilt con el mismo diseño, pero esta vez para mí. I just loved it. I'm thinking about doing another quilt with the same design, but this time for me.

El patrón que usé es de Carolina Patchworks y lo compré aquí. Es un patrón muy fácil de seguir y de terminar. Realmente me encantó el resultado. The pattern I used is from Carolina Patchworks and I bought it here. Is an very easy pattern to follow and finish it. I really love the result.

starting again .....

estoy en el proceso de seleccionar las telas que usaré para el siquiente quilt... es una parte que disfruto mucho, sin embargo me cuesta trabajo decidir cuáles serán las telas que usaré al final... algunas veces compro algunas telas de la misma colección y luego tengo la tendencia a usarlas juntas (porque definitivamente lucen bien juntas!), pero esta vez estoy tratando de no hacer eso... I'm in the process of selecting fabrics to use for the next quilt... is a part I really enjoy, but is hard to me decide wich fabrics that I'll use... sometimes I bought some fabrics from the same collection, then I tend to use them together (because they definitely look great together!), but this time i'm trying to don't do that ...

no he cortado nada todavía... estos días hemos estado algo ocupado por aquí, pero mis planes son comenzar el fin de semana... I have't cut anything yet... these days we have been a little busy around here, but my plans are to start in this weekend...

hubo momentos en que estas vacaciones me parecieron un poco largas. Creo que fue en esos días en que hubo mucho qué hacer por aquí: se pintó el cuarto de lavado-costura y tuvimos gente trabajando en algunas partes de la casa, había que remover cosas, limpiar, remover y limpiar y limpiar y nuevo... después de eso todo pasó muy rápido... tuvimos un fin de semana muy relajado y hoy de vuelta al trabajo.

i love lazy days...

No es que yo sea una mujer floja, suelo levantarme temprano (diario) y me gusta trabajar en mi casa y en mi empleo... pero contando con la fortuna de tener un día con clima frío, lluvia, dos perros que adoran quedarse a nuestro lado, por qué no quedarse en cama viendo la lluvia por la ventana junto al hombre que amas? eso fue ayer. Todo el día. Un día de vacaciones perfecto.

I'm not a lazy woman, I usually get up early (daily) and I like working on my house and at my job ... but with the fortune of having a day with cold weather, rain, two dogs who love to stay with us, why not stay in bed watching the rain through the window next to the man you love? that was yesterday. All day. A perfect holiday.

No tengo un listado de propósitos para 2010. Tampoco tengo alguna lista de propósitos cumplidos (o no cumplidos) de 2009. Sólo espero ser mejor persona de lo que he sido antes y recordar intentarlo cada día (lo cual no suele ser fácil). Fue un buen año, gracias por ello!! I haven´t a list of resolutions for 2010. I haven't any list of purposes completed (or unfulfilled) in 2009. I just hope to be better person than I was before and remember to try it every day (which is not easy). It was a good year, thanks for that!
